Accessibility Statement
Chéri Alfajores wants everyone to be able to browse our menu and send an order request. We work to make cherialfajores.com usable for people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. The site was last reviewed against these guidelines on September 28, 2026.
What we've done
- All menu, order, and contact controls work with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text and buttons meet WCAG color-contrast minimums.
- Form fields, the pickup date picker, and quantity controls have labels announced by screen readers; errors and confirmations are announced.
- The order panel traps focus while open and closes with the Escape key.
- Animations and the background video stop when your device's "reduce motion" setting is on, and a Pause animation button is available on the home page.
- Our story is available in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, and each is marked with its language.
Known limitations
- Product photos and decorative artwork are hidden from screen readers; product names and descriptions carry the information.
- Headings and text placed over photos in the page banner rely on a dark overlay for contrast; if any of it is hard to read, please let us know.
- Payment is arranged directly with us after you send a request, so there is no online checkout to navigate.
